Kitara 2-1 Tooro United

Kiboga Young 0-1 Proline

FUFA Big League side Kitara Football Club progressed to the quarterfinals of the Stanbic Uganda Cup after a narrow 1-2 away win against Tooro United at the St Paul Seminary playground in Fort-portal.

Yafesi Mubiru drew first blood in the game for Tooro United before Maxwell Kamurali and Patrick Abigaba scored for the visitors turning his goal into a consolation.

Elsewhere, title holders Proline stormed the quarterfinals of the 2019-2020 Championship after a 0-1 win against Kiboga Young on Saturday.

Hamis Diego Kizza’s first half goal was all that Proline needed to progress to the last eight at Mbale Municipal Playground as hosts Kiboga Young saw an automatic ejection.

Hamis Kizza could have scored a brace on the evening but his penalty kick was saved by Kiboga Young’s goalkeeper Steven Makamba.

Proline joined KCCA, Kyetume, Kitara and Light SS as the four teams that have already joined the quarter finals of the 46th edition.
